Are you participating in Nanowrimo this year? Do you love Lolcatz? Do you
wish you
could have a Lolcatz-themed Nanowrimo word counter? Well, look no further. NanoCat
to the rescue!
Here's how it works:
Enter your Nanowrimo user id here (it's the number that's at the end of URL when
you're looking at your Nano profile, eg. my profile looks like this: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/177478,
so my user ID is 177478.

If you want a random NanoCat picture each time your word counter loads, you don't
have to do anything else. Click "Generate Code" now!
If you want a specific NanoCat (I love the little sleeping kitten) click on the
radio button next to the NanoCat you like, THEN click "Generate Code."

Now all you have to do is place this URL anywhere you would usually insert an image on a website or a messageboard forum. If you're using HTML, it would look like this:

Special Update! Nanowrimo's own forums prefer that sig-line images be shorter than 100 pixels. I'm working on a series of NanoKittens that will meet those requirements. They'll be ready later today! --Obviously this has taken longer than expected. I'm falling behind on my Nano project, and it has to take priority LOL!
Important Note: NanoCat gets his word count numbers from Nanowrimo's own word count servers. Sometimes these can take between an hour or two to update, so if NanoCat is a little slow in picking up a new word count update you've just done, please just be patient with him.
